Learning to change Lives Program
The Philippine International Dinner in February 2022, was hosted by Rotary Club of Castle Hill for Leaning to Change Lives program. The 30 released women inmates from 2021-22 from BJMP Olongapo City, Philippines were supported by Women Compassion while they were being managed for the crime they have committed to put food on the table. RCCH have given them the opportunity through Learning to Change Lives program to earn sustainable income. We encourage all women to value the importance in helping themselves and in turn, eventually help others in the community. They will be trained to bake bread, pastries, cakes and some cookery of Pilipino and international cuisines and achieve a Vocational Certificate IV. This Learning to Changes Lives will bring them to be employed by local bake shops or restaurants. They work as self employed catering to the need of family and friends' special events. The have the opportunity to work overseas as well.
The Rotary Club of Castle Hill is proudly Working in partnership with the Rotary Club of Freeport Zone (Subic Bay) Philippines at whose training centre the program will be conducted.
